Postage Due Issues

After King Charles IV left Hungary in November 1918 the Republic overprinted definitive and charity stamps KÖZTÁRSASÁG. Eventually they got round to overprinting Postage Due stamps as well in February 1919.

The 3 filler was never issued unoverprinted, while the 40f and 50f with red numerals were not issued unoverprinted until the following year.
