On the 22nd December 1944 a Provisional Government was set up under Soviet auspices at Debrecen while Soviet forces controlled Eastern Hungary


Reconstruction Issue, 1946 Issues


This was a large set of 15 stamps with the same design which was gradually added to as inflation gathered pace. 5 of the 15 stamps were added in 1946.

Inflation Provisionals


Starting on 14th January provisional stamps were issued to cover particular postal rates. These were overprinted by the rate designation, the price changing almost daily. There were three issues for each rate. The second was issued on 1st February, and the third on 1st May
