Envelope Type, Black Numerals For Krajczár Values

Watermark kr in circles, Printed from Stereotypes, 1888

This issue is perf 11½ line, and can be distinguished from the later electrotype issues by the absence of defects only found in the latter (see below)

1 krajczár black SG 38a.	8 krajczár orange and yellow SG 38b.	12 krajczár brown and green SG 38c.
15 krajczár claret and blue SG 38d.	24 krajczár purple and red SG 38e.	30 krajczár olive and brown SG 38f.
50 krajczár orange-red and orange SG 38g.	1 forint blue-grey and silver SG 38h.	3 forint purple-brown and gold SG 38i.

Watermark kr in circles, Printed From Electrotypes, 1889-98

This issue has perf. 11½ line and perf 12x11½ comb, changing to perf 12x11¾ in 1897.
The principal distinguihing marks in the electrotype printing are

• A notch in the top of the 5th bead from the left in the top row.
• Joining of the 3rd and 4th bead from the top on the right column
• A blob in the top of the 6th bead from the left in the bottom row
• Breaks in two lines under the S of POSTA

Watermark sideways crown in circles, 1898-9

The designs remained the same except that the background of vertical lines is much fainter.
There are two types of crown, which can be difficult to distinguish as the design was spread over 4 to 6 stamps.
The first is on medium white paper with a clear watermark, while the second is on thinner yellowish paper and the watermark is much less distinct.
Perforation was 12x11¾ comb, or much less commonly, 11½ line
